Chimney Choice is a family run business that has been in existence for over 30 years.

Based in Manchester we started out as chimney specialists and used to build and reline chimneys.

Architects, construction companies, loss adjusters, insurance companies, business organisations, town, city and county councils seek us out for consultancy, advice and most importantly, solutions.

About 20 years ago, we saw the need for a range of chimney cowls to help solve the many draught problems that cause chimney problems.

The chimney cowls you see on this website and in the hundreds of builders merchants, hardware stores and stove shops around Ireland and the UK are the fruits of this 30 years experience with chimneys. We have designed them ourselves and can stand by their quality and endurance. 

Over the past number of years, we have added many new products to our portfolio. These come from reputable European manufactures only.

Because we come from a practical back round, we have used and tested all the products we distribute. We can confidently say that they are top notch – we wouldn’t sell them if they weren’t.

Who we are

Chimney Choice is owned and run by Andrew and Greg Chlodnicki.

Andrew is the elder statesman with 30 years at the helm. He is a civil engineer and has stuck his head up and down tens of thousands of chimneys down through the years.  

Greg is Andrew’s son, has been with SHL over 10 years. He has a business degree but will freely admit he has learned more about business working with his Father than he ever did in college.

Both Andrew and Greg are assisted greatly by a number of talented staff in accounts, office management, warehousing, product support and sales and marketing.
