You may also collect your order from our warehouse located on the tramore road in Cork. You must select this option on checkout if you wish to collect the order yourself.
If the problem (smoke or fumes coming out the fireplace or stove) occurs ONLY IN WINDY conditions then THIS IS A DOWNDRAUGHT. The anti down draught cowls to use are: A) Static Cowl if your problem is not severe (found here). B) A Spinner Cowl if the your problem is severe (found here).
If the problem (smoke or fumes coming out the fireplace or stove) occurs when there is LITTLE or NO WIND then this is not a downdraught. This is a LACK OF DRAUGHT.
No anti down draught cowl will fix a lack of draught there is only ONE cowl to fix a LACK OF DRAUGHT and that is an ELECTRIC cowl called the SUPER C.
If the Chimney Problem is heat loss, over performance of chimney, excessive fuel consumption or exterior noise in the chimney, then the cowl you need to fix this is the CHIMNEY CONTROL (found here).
If the problem is rain or birds nesting then the cowl you need is the Anti Bird/Anti Rain cowl (found here).

The Terracotta painted Stainless Steel Anti Bird / Anti Rain Chimney Cowl will stop birds nesting in your chimney – it has a robust cage type stainless steel mesh housing that will prevent this.
It also protects your chimney against rain and moisture penetration – suitable for chimneys that are in use or chimneys that are used infrequently or those that are not used at all.
The Terracotta painted Stainless Steel Anti Rain / Anti Bird Chimney Cap offers maximum protection without impeding the performance of the chimney.
These stainless steel anti bird chimney caps are the best quality because we use stainless steel rather than aluminium. Stainless steel has a higher heat resistance than aluminium.

What the Terracotta painted Stainless Steel Anti Bird / Anti Rain Chimney Cowl will not do:
This cowl will not prevent a downdraught in your chimney – the Spinner Anti Down Draught Chimney Cowl or the Static Anti Down Draught Chimney Cowl will prevent a downdraught.
This cowl will not create an up-draught or increase the performance of the chimney.
The Terracotta painted Stainless Steel Anti Bird / Anti Rain Chimney Cowl will not completely prevent severe driving or horizontal moving rain often experienced on the coast or in elevated positions – the Static Anti Down Draught Chimney Cowl will prevent driving rain.
Fitting:
The Terracotta painted Stainless Steel Anti Rain / Anti Bird Chimney Cowl is very easy to fit – only a screw driver is required
The Terracotta painted Stainless Steel Anti Bird / Anti Rain Chimney Cowl will fit standard chimney pots – its circular base diameter is 9” or 230mm.
However, this cowl will fit any chimney pot between 8” and 9” (200mm and 230mm) internal diameter and 10” and 11” (254mm and 279mm) external diameter. Most chimney pots have a wall thickness of approximately 1”.
The Anti Rain / Anti Bird Chimney Cowl is available in other diameter sizes, namely; 5”, 6”, 10 ½”, 12” and 14”, but only in unpainted stainless steel. To view these other sizes please click the category called Chimney Cowls.
